In this combinatorics problem, you must choose 3 candy from 8 possible choices. As such, we do have \(\frac{8!}{3!5!}=\)\(\frac{8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1}{3*2*1*5*4*3*2*1}\)
B is the answer.
