We can apply some number sense here
GIVEN: The photocopier can copy 2 pages in 3 seconds
This means the photocopier can copy 40 pages in 60 seconds [if we multiply the operating time by 20, the output is multiplied by 20]
In other words, the photocopier can copy 40 pages in 1 MINUTE [since 60 seconds = 1 minute]
This means the photocopier can copy 2400 pages in 60 minutes [if we multiply the operating time by 60, the output is multiplied by 60]
In other words, the photocopier can copy 2,400 pages in 1 HOUR [since 60 minutes = 1 hour]
This means the photocopier can copy 12,000 pages in 5 hours [if we multiply the operating time by 5, the output is multiplied by 5]
We get:
QUANTITY A: 12,000
QUANTITY B: 12,000
