We can apply a nice rule that says \(\sqrt{x}\sqrt{y}=\sqrt{xy}\)
For example, \(\sqrt{3}\sqrt{7}=\sqrt{21}\)
Since \((\frac{1}{2})(\frac{1}{2})=(\frac{1}{4})\), we know that \(\sqrt{{\frac{1}{4}}}=\frac{1}{2}\)
So, \(\frac{1}{2} \sqrt{10}=\sqrt{{\frac{1}{4}}} \sqrt{10}\)
\(=\sqrt{{\frac{10}{4}}}\) [after applying the above property]
\(=\sqrt{{\frac{5}{2}}}\) [after simplifying]
We get:
QUANTITY A: \(\sqrt{{\frac{5}{2}}}\)
QUANTITY B: \(\sqrt{{\frac{5}{2}}}\)
Answer: C
