There is a formula for this! Area of an equilateral triangle = (s² x √3) / 4.
This makes sense when you consider that the triangle area formula is ½ x b x h and that the height of an equilateral triangle is ½ x s x √3.
So in this case ½ x 8√3 x ½ x 8 = 16√3, select Choice B.
