The problem here is that we don't know whether any or all of the values are positive or negative.
So, let's test some values
case i: a = -2, b = -1 and c = 0 (this satisfies the condition that a < b < c)
We get:
Quantity A: ac = (-2)(0) = 0
Quantity B: bc = (-1)(0) = 0
In this case, the two quantities are equal
case ii: a = -1, b = 0 and c = 1 (this satisfies the condition that a < b < c)
We get:
Quantity A: ac = (-1)(1) = -1
Quantity B: bc = (0)(0) = 0
In this case, Quantity B is greater
Answer: D

If a,b,c are positive integers, lets say 2,3,4 then QA = 8, QB = 12 and therefore QB is the greatest.
If a,b,c are negative integers, lets say -2,3-4 then QA = 8 QB = -12 and therefore QA is the greatest.
The answer is D.
If a,b,c are negative integers, lets say -2,3-4 then QA = 8 QB = -12 and therefore QA is the greatest.
