Explanation

Use D = RT:

Distance = \(x(2x)\)
Distance = \(2x^2\)

Which is greater, 2x2 or 3x? If x = 1, then 3x is greater.

But if x = 2, then 2x2 is greater.

Without information about the value of x, the relationship cannot be determined.

r = 2x*x which is = 2x^2
x could be anything so the answer d

For those who tend to have more trouble with variables and need concrete numbers

X=1
1 mile per hour and traveling 2 hours -> 2 miles traveled; A < B

x=3
3 miles per hour and traveling 6 hours -> 18 miles vs 9 miles; A > B

Answer: D
