I think the answer should be B, F.

I agree with ChiGRE.
In order for the members of the committee to get angry, the ambassador should refused to moderate the vituperative words.
Moreover, in Blank (i), choice A and C are similar. Therefore, either of them can be a correct choice and because we have to choose only one choice, choice B has to be our appropriate choice.
