question 4 seeks for the option that most weakens the Brown's conclusion. Since she concluded that the exogenous factors influence the behavioral rythems, we need to find an option that implies the behavioural patterns have not adapted after a while. This is clearly implied by option c since it says that the oyster still opened their shells widest after sixteen days which means that the behavioral adaption did not occure.
