In Bag A, the ratio of red nail polish to green ones is 7:2. In Bag B, the ratio of green nail polish to red ones is 1:8. Bag B contains twice as many nail polish as Bag A, and both bags contain only a red and green nail polishes.

This question is very similar to a question I saw it in one of the resources I study from, but due to rights, I changed a little bit.

Let there be A nailpolishes in bag A, and 2A nailpolishes in bag B
Bag A : R+G=A; 7x+2x=A; 9x=A hence x=A/9 ; therefore green=2x= 2A/9
Bag B: R+G= 2A; 8x+1x= 2A ; 9x = 2A hence x =2A/9 ; therefore green =1x= 1*2A/9= 2A/9
Hence it is C
