Let side of square = a
From question
if side(length) of the square is a then length of rectangle = a+2
if side(width) of the square is a then length of rectangle = a-2
Area of square is a^2 = y^2
Area of rectangle is (a+2)(a-2) = a^2 - 4 ==> y^2 - 4
Hence, A is the Answer.
From question
