Let's assume that the number of boys is X, then the number of girls is 2X.
At the meeting, let the number of boys be b and girls be g. Then, (g/2X)*100= 2*(b/X)*100, for which g=4b
Then, the total number of students at the meeting is g+b = 4b+b = 5b
Thus, as number of boys is b, %of boys is (b/5b)*100 = 20
Hence, Answer A!

We can let the number of girls = 20 and the number of boys = 10. We can let the percentage of girls attending = 100 and the percentage of boys = 50.
Thus, there were 20 girls and 5 boys, so the percentage of boys was 5/25 = 1/5 = 20%.
Answer: A
