We need a word that fits with odious. ==> A word that can be used for something bad
A,B --> rejected as it used to describe something good
D --> Tempered, medium in effect --> reject, does not fit with strong word odious
C --> Circumscribed means limit something --> reject, once again it does not fit with strong word odious
Hence, E is the Answer as Repudiate is a strong word describing ban.
