Could you someone explain how Jim and Pete could have the median number of assignments ?
Below was my approach:
We know from given: P<K, K>M, M>J, J>S, which implies the order
P,K,M,J,S
making Mike as the only possible person who could have the median number of assignments

Thanks praveensamudrala. Its my bad, I messed up the equality order. Possible of order of arrangements
P, S, J, M, K (median is J)
or
S, P, J, M, K (median is J)
or
S, J, P, M, K (median is P)
or
S, J, M, P, K (median is M)
So Mike, Jim and Pete could be medians (options A,C,E)
