Re: The integers x and y are greater than 1. If (4x)(7y) = 756, [#permalink]
1
\((4x)(7y) = 756\)
\((x)(y) = 27\)

We are given that x and y are positive integers greater than 1.

Now, factors of 27 = 1,3,9,27

X or Y could not take the value 1 so the only pair remaining is that of (3,9)
X+Y = 12

Show: :: x+y=
12
