The multiples of 3 are as follows: 3, 6, 9, 12, .....96, 99
Notice that:
3 = 3(1)
6 = 3(2)
9 = 3(3)
12 = 3(4)
.
.
.
96 = 3(32)
99 = 3(33)
So, we can see that there are 33 multiples of 3 between 1 and 100.
So, P(chosen number is multiple of 3) = 33/100
Answer: B
