Total Price paid by Maria without tax = the cell phone cost + the case cost + the wall charger cost = $ 149.99 + $ 24.99 + $ 29.99 Since it is an approximation question so we can approximate the values to the nearest integer to get Total Price paid by Maria without tax = $ 150 + $ 25 + $ 30 = $ 205 Tax = 9.5% So Total price = Price + 9.5*price = price ( 1 + 9.5%) = price * (1 + \(\frac{9.5}{100}\)) = price * 1.095 = $ 205 * 1.095 ~ 224
