pentagon has three sides with length x and two sides with length 3x
Perimeter = x + x + x + 3x + 3x = 9x
If x is 2/3 of an inch, what is the perimeter of the pentagon?
Take 9x and replace x with 2/3 to get...
Perimeter = 9x = (9)(2/3) = 18/3 = 6
Answer: B

lenght of three side is x each
length of the remaining two sides is 3x each
perimeter = x+x+x+3x+3x=9x
however x=2/3
perimetre = 9*2/3 = 6in
hence ans is B
