given:
*x+y = 5y-13... (1)
x-y=5...(2)
*take equation 1
x+y= 5y-13
* subtracting 2y from both side, we get :
* x-y = 3y -13
* 5 = 3y -13 ( From equation 2)
* 3y = 18
* y= 6
*substituting this in equation 2 , we get:
*x-6 = 5
therefore x = 11
*x+y = 5y-13... (1)
x-y=5...(2)
*take equation 1
x+y= 5y-13
* subtracting 2y from both side, we get :
* x-y = 3y -13
* 5 = 3y -13 ( From equation 2)
* 3y = 18
* y= 6
*substituting this in equation 2 , we get:
*x-6 = 5
therefore x = 11
