By allegation method I got 1:1 but I dont know how to interpret this answer i.e. 1:1 as 25 games.

If you get 1:1 this means that the number is same, and thus, he must play same number of games.

Which is 1:1. If he has won 40% of his 25 games, he must play another 25 games, during which he wins 80%.
To confirm this, 40% of 25 = 10 and when he plays another 25 games, he won 80% of times, hence he won 20 games.
Thus, out of 50 games, he won 30 games.
