My question:
For the 1st inequality, don't we remove the negative sign from the beginning because of the presence of the absolute value?
so we solve it,
|x|>=6
then
x>=6
x=<-6
and the we continue?

|x|>=6 and |-x|>=6 both imply the same that either x>=6 or x<=-6. So it doesn't matter.
since, xy^2 < 0
=> x < 0 (since y^2 > 0)
=> x <= -6 (since |-x|>=6)
=> x < -4
So, the answer is B
