As soon as you find the hypotenuse, the answer becomes pretty evident

The thing is you can't assume that there is 90 angle degree in 3-4 triangle, unless it's clearly indicated in the figure. And in the given figure it's not known whether the 3-4 triangle is right or not, so you can't use pyth theorem.

So use the law of cosines. Regardless, the middle line is longer than either of the 4 sides, so pythagorean will get you close enough.
You just need to get the right answer on test day, regardless of how you get there haha

RULE:
The length of the 3rd side of the triangle is in between the sum and differences of two sides;
For abc
4-3 < bc < 4+3
1 < bc < 7

For bcd
bc-cd < h < bc+cd
if max value of bc is LESS THAN 7
h < 8
HENCE PROVED

The answer is D because no one mentioned in the question like it is right angle.

(3,4,5) is not only the combination
(3,4,1), (3,4,2) ,(3,4,3), etc.., like this many will be there
