Let number of youth and children be x.
So,
5*(205 - x) + 3.5*(x) = 828.5
=> 1025 - 5x + 3.5x = 828.5
=> 1.5x = 1025 - 828.5 = 196.5
=> x = 131
=> adults = 205 - 131 = 74
So, the answer is 74.

Let x = number of children, y = number of adults, then
x + y = 205 (*)
3.5 x + 5y = 828.5 (**)
Multiply (*) by 5:
5x + 5y = 1025
3.5x + 5y = 828.5
Subtract:
3/2 x = 196.5
3/2 x = 393/2
x = 131
Hence number of adults is 205 - 131 = 74.
