First notice that ∆BAD is a special 30-60-90 right triangle.
This means the other two sides have lengths 2 and √3
Since ΔBCD is an EQUILATERAL triangle, we know that all sides have length 2, and each angle is 60°
Now notice that ∆CED is also a special 30-60-90 right triangle.
This means side CE has length √3
We get:
QUANTITY A: √3
QUANTITY B: √3
Answer: C
