In triangle ABD pictured above, \(\overline {AC} = 4\) and is perpendicular to \(\overline {BD}\), which is equal to 125% the length of \(\overline {AC}\). What is the area of triangle \(ABD\) ?

BD=1.25AC
so BD=1.25*4=5
from area of triangle formula =(1/2)*b*h
where BD is base of triangle
AC is height of triangle
so area of trinagle ABD=(1/2)*5*4
=10
BD=1.25AC
so BD=1.25*4=5
from area of triangle formula =(1/2)*b*h
where BD is base of triangle
AC is height of triangle
so area of trinagle ABD=(1/2)*5*4
=10
