Since this question hinges on Aliza's age, let's write all of the ages in terms of Aliza's age.
Let A = Aliza's age.
Merrick is 8 years younger than Aliza
So, A - 8 = Merrick's age
Emma is 3 years older than Merrick
Merrick's age is A - 8
So, (A - 8) + 3 = Emma's age
In other words, A - 5 = Emma's age.
This tells us that Emma is 5 years younger than Aliza
Aliza is at least 25 years old
So, Aliza could be 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, ......
If Aliza is 25, then Emma is 20
If Aliza is 26, then Emma is 21
If Aliza is 27, then Emma is 22
If Aliza is 28, then Emma is 23
.
.
.
As we can see, Emma can be ANY age that is greater than or equal to 20
