We have both x and y less than 0, so x+y will be less than 0 too. Quantity A is less than 0.
For quantity B, since \(x <0 \) and \(y<0\) we have \(x^2>0\) and \(y^2>0\). Therefore quantity B>0.
So B>A and answer is B.
For quantity B, since \(x <0 \) and \(y<0\) we have \(x^2>0\) and \(y^2>0\). Therefore quantity B>0.
So B>A and answer is B.
