In the given figure, triangle UVW is obtuse while triangle XYZ is a combination of 30-60-90 and 45-45-90. The height of the triangle UVW is VT. The base of triangle UVW reaches the midpoint of triangle XYZ. On calculating the area, we can see that UVW will be greater than XYZ. Thus, A is greater than B.

I feel like the above explained solution is full of made up assumptions. We always learn not to trust the GRE drawings in geometry and always base our solution on the facts and givens.
Any other explanation please, I feel like the answer should be D with the little information present.
