We may would like to reduce calculation efforts like this one.
At noon , 3/25 = 12/100
At 2:30 pm ,150 minutes later from noon, 28 % full = 28/100
By supplying water for 150 minutes, we can fill (28-12)/100 = 16/100
To fill the pool we need to calculate X.
X = (100/16) * 150 * 2
= (100/16) * 300
= 100 * (300/16)
We may be able to calculate below without paper nor pencil.
Y= 300/16
= 18.????
??? part, we do not have to calculate.
What we calculate is 100 * Y and only choice is A. 1,875
