10 - 8 + 6 - 4 + 2 - 0 + (-2) - (-4) + (-6) - (-8) + (-10) - (-12) + (-14) - (-16) + (-18) - (-20)
= [10 - 8] + [6 - 4] + [2 - 0] + [(-2) - (-4)] + [(-6) - (-8)] + [(-10) - (-12)] + [(-14) - (-16)] + [(-18) - (-20)]
= [2] + [2] + [2] + [2] + [2] + [2] + [2] + [2]
= 16
