Dahlia has 270. And she will spend 15/week. So she has 18 week's of money.
Let's take x as the no of week, Dahlia spends money.
Now it is mentioned that, when they both have the same amount in savings.
So we can make a linear equation.
\(15(18-x) = 12x\)
\(15*18 = 27x\)
x = 10 weeks.
So in 10 weeks,
Alberto's saving = 12 * 10 = 120
Dahlia's saving = 15 (18-10) = 120
Total 240
