Mary paid $201 for a stereo that was marked at 25% off the original list price.
Original price = 100 / 75 x $201 = 268

Quantity A: The amount Nan paid for the same stereo marked at 15% off the original list price = 85 / 100 x 268 = $227.8
Quantity B: $227
$227.8 > $227

Correct Answer: A)The quantity in Column A is greater.

$201 paid for 25% less price of the original.

So 201 is 75% of the original price

Original price is = \(\frac{4}{3}*201\) = 268

Qt A

15% off the original price
So the selling price = 85% of original price = 0.85 * 268 = 227.8

Qt A>Qt B

Answer A

Isn't 75% 3/4, not 4/3?

Correct sir

201/0.75=268

268*0.85=227.8

227.8>227
