disenfranchisement means not being part of the society, country, culture etc, in fact of something one ought to belong to. Ex: Women voters felt disenfranchised in the democratic process until they earned the right to vote.

In the second blank, only disenfranchisement fits

The long history of African American (ii)___ — placing a large proportion on race and class prejudice—means that America's black population plays a (iii)___ role in illuminating the national drama of exclusion.


The first statement clearly expresses a disappointment on right/notions so elusive fits here (both feasible and accessible are opposites).

The words following - clearly elaborates more on the blank part, so disenfranchisement (not equal rights) fits here.

The third blank is the easiest since central is the only possible option.
