We can apply the property that says: \(\sqrt{xy}= (\sqrt{x})(\sqrt{y})\)
\(\sqrt{(4.8)(10^9)} = \sqrt{(4.8)(10^1)(10^8)}\)
\(= \sqrt{(48)(10^8)}\)
\(= (\sqrt{48})(\sqrt{10^8})\) [applied property from above]
\(≈ (7)(10^4)\)
\(≈ (7)(10,000)\)
\(≈ 70,000\)
