Two methods to solve this
Method 1: Substitution
|A| > 19
Substitute all answers and check which one satisfies
A. 26 => |26| > 19 => 26 > 19 => True. So CAN be equal to A
B. 22 => |22| > 19 => 22 > 19 => True. So CAN be equal to A
C. 18 => |18| > 19 => 18 > 19 => False. So CANNOT be equal to A. => Answer. We do not need to check further but solving to complete the solution.
D. -20 => |-20| > 19 => 20 > 19 => True. So CAN be equal to A
E. -24 => |-24| > 19 => 24 > 19 => True. So CAN be equal to A
Method 2: Algebra
|A| > 19
=> A > 19 or A < -19 [Using if |x| > y then x > y or x < -y ]
So, Answer will be C as A cannot be 18 (<19)
