How could you calculate the least value to be 1600?

My reasoning for least to be 1600 is that 2000 patients were suffering from Condition B. And 2000 can also be the maximum number of patients who can suffer from both A and B. So these 2000 patients must be getting the drug X.
Maximum anyway is 2600 dosages.

Thus, the range is from 1,600 (least amount of people who could've suffered from condition A and B) to 2,600 (maximum amount of people).

How do you calculate the least value, why can't I say least value is 1000?

Because you already have a higher value than 1000. 1600 people with Condition B have been prescribed drug X.
so, it has to be between 1600 and 2600

Think it this way;
People with Condition A = 1000
People with Condition B = 1600
People with Both the Conditions A and B = 1000 (Max. Intersection) and only Condition B = 600

Total people with prescription = 1600
i.e. (1000) + 600

Maximum = Condition A and Condition B separately = 1000 + 1600 = 2600 ......... (Only Union, no Intersection)
