Let's consider some examples:
1. 50% of the students are men. If 40% of all students have brown hair, it means that all the students with brown hair could reside outside the "male" category (i.e., in the other 50%).
2. If, on the other hand, only male students have brown hair, that 40% would reside entirely within the 50% of male students.
Hence, we can produce two very different scenarios that would both be valid given the information we have at hand.
