Here's another one that I can't figure out in my mygretutor
If z+2y-x=x+z+y, then what is x in terms of y?
When I divide both sides of the equation by z to get rid of z, I get 1 + 2y/z - x/z = x/z + 1 + y/z, but them I'm stuck.
A. 2y
B. y/2
C. 1.5y
D. y2
E. y

Bring all the X on the LHS and the rest on the RHS
-X - X = Z + Y -Z -2Y
Z go off because opposite sign. We are left with
-2X = -Y
X = Y/2
B is the answer
