Alans regular hourly wage is 1.5 times Barneys regular hourly wage, [#permalink]
1
I found it helpful to get concrete.
Alan makes $15/hour. Barney makes $10/hr M-F and $20/hr Sunday.
They worked 2 hours this week. Alan made $30 = 2*$15.
In order to make $30 for Barney in 2 hours, he would have had to do 1 hour M-F and 1 hour Saturday.

So just thinking generally about this, if they made the same wage working the same total number of hours over the week, it seems straightforward that Alan could have made his money any day, but Barney would have made 1/2 during the week and 1/2 on Saturday to average the same wage of $15/hr.

Item 1: Alan worked fewer hours M-F than Barney.
There's really no telling, since Alan could have worked all his 2 hours M-F or all on Saturday and made the same either way.

Item 2: Barney worked at least 1 hour on Saturday. Yes, we already deduced this above.

Item 3: Barney made more money on Saturday than Alan did. Same as item 1. Alan could have made all his money or none of it on Saturday. Can't know.

So the answer is item 2 only. = B
