The sign X(⋇)Y indicates the sum of all the integers between X and Y excluding.
So, (60⋇900) = 61+62+63+64+..........896+897+898+899
and (63⋇898) = 64+65+66+................895+896+897
-------------------------------------------------------
(-) = 61+62+63+898+899
= 1983
