Hello sir,

Do you know the OA of the question and the source as well?
There is some detail missing I think.

If we take all the -ve values than the range will be +ve. And in 25 consecutive nos it is not possible.
Range and median can be same in 1 , 2 , 3 but further it will be different.

Since these numbers are consecutive, 25 number will always have the range 24, take any number 1-25,2-26 doesn't matter. Now we're given that range and median are same so median is also 24, since there are 25 number 12 numbers must be below 24 and 12 numbers must be above it. So, when you add 12 in 24 the highest possible number is 36.
