x^2=16
x=+4 and x=-4
mod x=4
option C is the correct answer.

It shouldn't matter whether x is -4 or 4, because A specifies the absolute value of x as the quantity we are using in the comparison of values, no?

I thought C is therefore the answer, but who knows.
