phoenixio would you please explain how the diameter would be 10 if this circle passes through (0,0).What I am able to perceive is that circle could have diameter either bigger than 10 or less than 10 as many circles could be passing through these two given points points (8,0) and (0,6)

If circle also passes through (0,0), then a right angle triangle will be formed inside the circle with vertices (0,0), (8,0) and (0,6). Using Pythagoras, we can find the length of hypotenuse =10.
