E = sum of even 40 numbers = 40*41
K = sum of odd 40 odd no. = 40 * 40

E - k = 40

Remember:
1. Average of \(n\) consecutive even numbers is \((n + 1)\)
2. Average of \(n\) consecutive odd numbers is \(n\)

Sum = (Average)(number of terms)
E = \((40 + 1)40 = (41)40\)
K = \((40)40\)

Col. A: \(40(41 - 40) = 40\)
Col. B: \(40\)

Hence, option C
