155V 165Q on the first mock

I'm a sophomore engineering student(not in the states) who gave my first powerprep test yesterday. Scored a lowly 155V 165Q. I did not skip the AWA at the start inspite of recommendations from my seniors(Realized that i'd be doing the same on exam day too and might not be prepared for the mental effect that section has on the rest of the test).
Verbal was horrible for me right from the start. Went through high school grammar based on gut instinct and not actual vocab(yeah, not proud) and that doesn't seem to work here. Also, I had to read the passages multiple times to get a hang of them and lost valuable minutes there.
Nailed the first quant section(all correct and finished with a few minutes to spare), but by the time I got to the second quant section, it was apparent that fatigue had taken over. I couldn't attempt the last 4 questions cause I had run out of time.
I give the actual test in 10 weeks(69 days to be precise : ) and am looking for them tips and tricks from you GRE gods right about now.
