The average of consecutive integers in an arithermatic progression is given by (first number+last number)/2
So (100+500)/2=300 and (10+50)/2=60
Difference of which is 300-30=270. The answer is C

Theory
The average (arithmetic mean) of the integers from 100 to 500, inclusive
Average from 100 to 500 = \(\frac{100+500}{2}\) = \(\frac{600}{2}\) = 300
The average of the integers from 10 to 50, inclusive
Average from 10 to 50 = \(\frac{10+50}{2}\) = \(\frac{60}{2}\) = 30
Difference of the two Averages = Average from 100 to 500 - Average from 10 to 50 = 300 - 30 = 270
So, Answer will be C.
