Given: |x| = 6
So, EITHER x = 6 OR x = -6
Test each case.
If x = 6, then y = 6 + 4 = 10
We get:
Quantity A: 10
Quantity B: 10
The two quantities are EQUAL
If x = -6, then y = (-6) + 4 = -2
We get:
Quantity A: -2
Quantity B: 10
Quantity B is GREATER
Answer: D
