interestingly there are two ways for solving this problem:
- intelligent translation of data into variables or algebraic solution (algebra is stronger definition than simple association, and it involves logic)
- brutal solution and panicking when sometimes negative values are revealed on one side of the translation
My bad, I have chosen for the second way and panicked here..
first solution would suffice for comparison purpose
Sofia gives Zayn $5, they will have the same amount of money ---> S-5=Z+5 (!!!!) that's it. Solved, as S=Z+10 is our comparison in quantities A and B. Answer is
CMy way, brutal solution and ignoring algebra by treating variables as only simple terms, not logical connectors..
continued from the previous: Zayn gives Sofia $5, she will have twice as much money as he will have ---> 2(Z-5)=S+5
AND combining two equations 2Z-10=S+5, 2Z-10=Z+10+5, Z=25 AND S=25+10=35 AND Z+10=35
I am not happy with the highlighted part in my above solution

Quantity A |
Quantity B |
The amount of money Sofia has |
$10 more than the amount of money Zayn has |
Quantity A is greater.
Quantity B is greater.
The two quantities are equal.
The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.
