Let N be total number of members in the society.
First arrangement 3 + 4t1 = N
Second arrangement 3 + 5t2 = N
so we can infer (N-3) is has factors 4,5 at least. And the since N is between 10 and 40. Only number that satisfies is 20.
N = 23.
Now the last arrangement 6 in each table + remaining, so 23%6 = 5.
Answer is A)
