distance travelled by car A = 40*(12+t)
distance travelled by car B = 80*t
total distance between the opposite ends = 40*(12+t)+80*t = 480+120*t
Case 1) both cars travel the same distance, 12+t=2t, t=12
Case 2) car A travels less distance than car B, 12+t < 2t, t>12
Case 3) car A travel more distance than car B, 12+t > 2t, t<12
IMO, answer is D

total distance between the opposite ends = 40*(12+t)+80*t = 480+120*t

please eplain detail because i fail to understand that how can ans D.
here my thought process,
let consider 480 as distance between two car and car A and car B speed is ratio of 1:2. due speed difference will led the car B to travel more distance than car A rill meet each other. Thats ehy i think ans should be B.
