The number of red marbles is one more than the number of blue marbles. And there are 15 marbles in total
Let B = # of blue marbles
So, B + 1= # of red marbles
Since there are 15 marbles in total, we get: B + (B + 1) =15
Simplify: 2B + 1 = 15
So 2B = 14
B = 7
So, there are 7 blue marbles and 8 red marbles
What is the probability that a marble selected at random is blue?
P(blue) = 7/15
Answer: C
